Artistic director and founder of the Münsterland Festival, curator of BurgJazz and Schlosskonzerte Nordkirchen (classic) and artistic director of Internationales BurgJazz-Festival, Lüdinghausen.
The Münsterland Festival has been taking place since 2005, promoted by Münsterland e.V. since 2010 – a regional management organization, working to support culture, tourism and the economy in the Münsterland region: consisting of a population of 1.6 million, Münsterland is a region in North Rhine-Westphalia in north-west of Germany, bordering with the Netherlands to the west.
In addition to being the artistic director of the Münsterland Festival, Christine Sörries curates two other jazz and classical concert series. This year she developed a new three-day international jazz festival, which took place in June 2022 in two different castles, receiving enthusiastic responses from both audience and artists.
