Tamir Grinberg – Bio Described by Billboard Magazine as a “Rising star” and by TheNext2Shine music blog as a young musical prodigy with “a voice that exceeds any realm of expectation”, Tamir dis-covered his own unique talent and deeply-rooted passion at an early age, which is what brought him to attend and study at the school of art. The schooling in the arts inspired Tamir to begin creating and performing his own music, and eventually led him to form his very own eight-piece band while eagerly beginning to learn the creative process of writing, composing, arranging, and producing original music. Possessing an old soul and outstandingly distinctive raspy voice, Tamir was naturally drawn to Funk, Blues and Jazz to find his musical inspiration, marrying his youthful energy with an authentic, vintage sound, the result of which is music that appeals to a diverse audience of any age or generation, with songs such as “Tell me where the light goes” and “Under the water” showcasing his passionate vocal delivery on stage while also exploring his unique songwriting ability that can be described simply as “timeless”. Since he released his first recordings, when he was only seventeen years old, Tamir grew a large fanbase and global interest in his music which led to many concerts and tours in Eu-rope and the US, including performances at: BA City Beats Festival, Kaunas Jazz festival with artists like Gregory porter, John Newman, Jamie Cullum and more. And many concerts in his hometown and all over the country, including The Red Sea Jazz festival, The TLV Pi-ano festival and many more. After touring in Europe and Israel for two intense years, Tamir recorded his debut EP – In-waters. The EP was released on Oct 20th 2017 with Steel Wool Records and distributed by Kobalt, it was covered and exclusively steamed by Billboard magazine. Tamir Moved to the US after signing with Steel wool management (Anderson Paak, Hayley Kiyoko), teamed up with Live Nation on a touring development deal and APA as his agency. He released a four track EP that showcases his time in Los Angeles and the work he did with producers like Sam Barsh, Tom Kahr, Cassidy Turbin and more. Tamir moved to New York in 2019 to work on his first studio album, but due to Covid-19 he had to return to Israel. During the pandemic, he utilized his time in Israel to complete his album. He was then invited to participate in Israel’s most prestigious music contest – ‘The Next Star’, and after nearly 10 years of declining to the production’s courting, he accepted the proposal. Receiving unanimous votes from the show’s judges, and majority of the audience’s votes, Tamir won the entire contest. Immediately after his win Grinberg commenced on his Israeli tour, with a first sold out show in less than an hour. Accordingly he added more shows in major theaters and venues across Israel, which were also sold out within hours. Tamir is now touring both locally and globally, while working on his next single and his de-but album.
