Gent Rushi is an Albanian Jazz musician and is one of the leading representatives of Albanian Jazz. He is an accordionist and pianist, composer, arranger and leader in many Jazz projects both in and outside his country’s borders. He is also the co-founder of the jazz department at the University of Arts in Tirana, and that institution’s first Jazz Professor. He has collaborated with many Albanian and international jazz musicians in both live concerts and recordings, and has participated in various jazz festivals across Europe and Asia. 

For several years he has filled the role of Artistic Director at the Jazz In Albania Festival and the Balkan Jazz ShowCase. Having composed music for cinema and theater, he is the arranger of more than 6000 songs, along a wide spectrum of musical styles, and TV Shows watched in Albania. 

Rushi is a prominent contributor to the education of young jazz musicians in Albania, and has worked as an instructor and mentor for young musicians in several international projects.
