Other than that, Piatkowski is known as a leading Polish jazz authority, critic and jazz historian, columnist of thousands of articles, interviews and essays, author of numerous books (including the first ever JAZZ Encyclopedia in Poland), radio and TV producer, and finally, promoter of jazz festivals.
