LOLA MARSH

Lola Marsh, aka vocalists Yael Shoshana Cohen and Gil Landau, compose music that combines clever lyrics with deep, warm harmonies. During early 2016, the young duo independently released “You’re Mine,” an impressive debut EP that associated Lola Marsh with a magnetic indie-pop. Their distinctive sound resulted in a swift rise towards recognition, first online and later with performances across Europe and North America.

Their debut album, “Remember Roses,” released during the summer of 2017, presents a vivacious collection of songs, a stunning exhibition of melancholy, set against an eccentrically offbeat pop backdrop.

The album was critically acclaimed; singles reached the top of Spotify’s most viral charts, hitting over 40 million streams and counting.

The band received attention from NPR, Paste Magazine, NYLON, Observer, Interview Magazine and more. Their popularity reached Hollywood, where they co-wrote a song for the film “Criminal”, and featured in the hit TV series “Better Call Saul”.

The band’s second album, “Someday Tomorrow Maybe”, released in early 2020, was inspired in part by the evolution of the members’ personal relationship as collaborators and, for a time, romantic partners. Lola Marsh, Landau says, is “romantic, nostalgic and a bit cinematic.” The New York Times agrees, having praised the band for “sweeping, cinematic music dripping in retro charm”.
